Grand Oaks

The name Grand Oaks was chosen well over 20 years ago by the senior citizens of Oakridge, as a reference to the two large oak trees growing on the front lawn. The group sensed a need for activities, Christian fellowship and for continued involvement in the ministries at Oakridge during this phase of life.

These goals continue to be the focus of The Grand Oaks as we attempt to have at least one scheduled “event” per month that would provide opportunities to strengthen friendships, develop new ones, and encourage one another. Activities include:

  • Sharing a meal together at a home or restaurant
  • Attending a local attraction like the State Capital Gardens
  • Gathering to celebrate a holiday or special day together

We encourage continued involvement in the ministries of Oakridge, attending regular Sunday services, prayer meetings, men and women ministries and encouraging the younger generations. It is our goal to continue to grow personally and as a body as “oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified” Isaiah 61:3.
